Horse Racing
Horse racing information is most useful when each race is presented as a distinct event. A race card can identify the meeting, course, scheduled off time, race number, distance and class. Runner details may include the horse name, number, jockey, trainer and declared status.
Horse Racing β How to use this section
Track conditions and going descriptions can influence how a race is understood. The page should use the official meeting terminology and show when the information was last updated. Non-runners, late changes and revised race times should be reflected promptly by the authorised feed.
Information, rules and transparency
Visitors should read the market definition and the operatorβs rules for each race. The treatment of dead heats, non-runners, withdrawals and postponed races should be explicit. A race preview or historical statistic is not a guarantee of a finishing position.
